Features
- Command-line tools have been ported from Go to C, removing the need for CGO and simplifying things
- CMake is now supported as a build system (in addition to Bazel)
- Code is now tested on Windows (in addition to macOS and Linux)
- New codebook generation algorithm
- Alternative bitstream support (e.g. 3-bit residuals, via API only)
Bugfixes
- The encoder chooses values that do not overflow during decoding, which eliminates one source of glitches
- Predictors are now stable; unstable predictors were likely a source of glitches and unwanted noise
